After coming in contact with this judge and the disparaging and inappropriate comments she made in front of the court and opposing counsel, I have no confidence in the legal system and that the rest of my case will be treated fairly. She was disrespectful and unprofessional and even said “she’s not supposed to say those thoughts out loud”. She was completely disconnected from the second we walked in the court room. I go to final trial in half a year and have no faith in the judicial system or that I’ll get treated fairly in my child custody case based off of something that is supposed to be unrelated to my child’s well being.

It's sad that Sherry Shipman fawns over men and treats women with crass disrespect, especially in family law cases. It's particularly sad for the children involved.

This judge has a problem with women in general. I sat and waited for my case and watched her be demeaning and straight unprofessional to the women that came before her court. When it was my turn she continued to berate my character and gave custody of my minor daughters to an admitted addict who’s under investigation for child sexual abuse. She wouldn’t provide a statement of fact.

This judge is the most insulting judge on the planet. She listened to none of the evidence and gave my children to the ex husband that raped me! She allowed perjury on the stand and acted like she was bored by the whole thing.

She was horribly rude and disrespectful. Did not even look up to listen to evidence and testimony. She called me Ms. "Whatever your name is" and made fun of my job position in retail, by "rolling her eyes" and stating that I "folded clothes for a living". When I told her what I did, specifically. I was embarrassed and disappointed that someone in a "supposed respectful position" was degrading and flippant about her job.
