Can judges be disciplined?

The justice system has a very long way to go to appropriately serve the people without bias and to the rule of law.

Judges are elected positions, aren’t they accountable to legal and ethical standards?

Simple civil cases heard in front of a judge who states on the record she will rule a specific way, then lets months pass without filing her ruling with the court on a cut and dry civil suit is a judge who isn’t doing her job.

Unfortunately voters who go to the polls for Judges don’t have access to a lot of information about them before they cast their ballot, not unless you’ve had personal dealings with them or know someone who has.

After doing my research on this judge, her reputation amongst the legal professionals within Jefferson County is not up to par to be serving the bench in an efficient and fair manner to the people of Jefferson County. She routinely lets her docket get backed up and fails to follow through on simple tasks Judges are expected to do in order to keep the court moving and cases settled.

Judge Green is not fit to be serving her judicial duty due to lack of capacity and undue delay in handling her cases. I will repeat, it is known within the legal community in Jefferson County what I’ve experienced first hand.

Consider this when you vote in May and November.

Alabama’s legal system is already understaffed and backlogged which prohibits plaintiffs from getting timely hearings, we deserve Judges who can handle their dockets and the roles they’ve been elected for.
