Judge akins does not care about father's rights. My cousin is going through something right now and had to go before judge akin. Judge akin knows the mother of ex partner. This judge should have been recrused from this case. JJ can care less about fairness and family law. She has no business being in family law. My cousin doesn't stand a chance with this judge. And the ex partner, the mother and father and judge Aiken know this. Judge is ripping people apart, ripping families apart, ripping people from their children. This judge has no empathy or compassion when it comes to family law. Nor does she see the truth.

[Redacted by Ed.] She terminated parental rights on my son based on a sexual assault allegation that was clearly disproven. The DA office caught his accuser lying and the accuser's own OB/GYN said she was lying. However, the accusers mother is a former city council member and court appointed child advocate. How is this fair? Now we understand why my son's ex wife fought so hard to have the case moved from Judge Bench to Aikens court. We saw the Aiken and my son's mother in law hug each other at a meet the candidate forum. We should have moved to recuse Judge Aiken (more on that later). Judge Aiken never appointed an Attorney Ad Litem or Amicus Attorney to represent the best interests of the kids (required by law) and she never allowed my son to have a home study with him interacting with his kids for the custody evaluator (also required by law). Instead she puts a protective order on him banning him from having any contact with his kids for over 3 years and then at the end holds it against him that he had no contact for over 3 years. Back to the refusal. We appealed her decision to the 5th circuit and they agreed that Aiken showed bias and animosity against my son throughout the trialn but said that we should have objected and asked for refusal DURING the trial, not wait until after and appeal. We'll how we're we supposed to know she would make this immoral decision until she made it. [Redacted by Ed.]

Horrible!! Crossing her arms and proceeded to lay them on a red pillow with her head resting on her arms when the prosecution was presenting case, talking with witnesses and jury, when it was defense’s turn she had her head up like she was paying attention, she would roll her eyes, make faces and nod her head no - all of this with the jury sitting there watching her, There were 2 occasions that during the breaks she would stand at the open jury deliberation room door and talk to the jurors , she offered them birthday cake. We were at lunch and the victims family, the judge and her entourage were sitting back to back in a room off from the main dining area.
We overheard her talking with an inmate at arraignment and told her that her toddler niece was run over and killed in her driveway by a drunk driver. The driver was the judge’s brother who is in prison. Bottom line she should have recused herself from our case. I have never seen such unethical behavior from a judge.

A severe lack of control of the court, including staff using cell phones. Making knee-jerk, uninformed decisions without the input of CPS, CASA, or agency employees. Asking "what are HER credentials?" About a therapist, claiming that she (the therapist) was not qualified, then sentencing children to see a therapist with THE SAME qualifications, an LPC, 3 counties away.
Failed to ask 1 question to the educational staff, fosters, or anyone with direct contact, about the wellbeing of the remaining children, education or health, IN A CHILD DEATH REMOVAL CASE.
Granting visitation against the recommendations of CASA, the agency, CPS, or two QUALIFIED therapist.
