This Judge is one of the younger judges on the bench and he seems to take his role as a judge very seriously. I have been impressed with his preparation on complex legal issues. He was ready to discuss the case in detail that I was involved in and it was obvious as the case went on that he was very aware of the issues before he came into court. He is not perfect but he seems to be growing into his role as a judge very well. I expect he will be one of the better judges in the First District.

I have also sat in on his Drug Court while waiting for my case to be heard and he is nothing short of amazing with those drug court people.

I have and continue to do cases all over the country. There will always be a few judges that are terrible and Utah is no exception; however, the judges in Utah are way better on average than most of the other judges in the country.

I would take with a grain of salt what some litigants have to say about Judge Allen or any other judge. At least one of the litigants in a case is going to be unhappy with the judge and the happy ones usually don't get on websites like this one.
