Comments:
I just cannot understand how a person like Kennedy ever graduated Harvard and Stanford. Incompetent, not smart, not well-reasoned, not anything but full of himself, from what I can tell. I just hope his family loves him, as the legal community quietly and privately talks about him as being an awful judge.

Those who have posted here have been far too kind. Also, I disagree that he is arrogant; he is petulant. Arrogance implies competence, and Judge Kennedy is inept.

I don't suggest bribery (but if someone had evidence that money was changing hands I would be inclined to believe it). Rather, he seems to be aware that he is destined to be voted off the bench and wants to curry favor with those who might hire him in his future ADR practice. He is corrupt in that his rulings are not based on any admissible evidence or relevant legal principles.

Pope John Paul, or "judge" as he would have it, cannot be trusted. He is evil incarnate, garnished with incompetence.

In sum, please vote "no" when this guy is up for retention. Simply awful in every way, shape and form.

It amazes me that judges would allow innocent people that can't afford attorneys to be swindled out of their livelihoods. I find this extremely reckless and irresponsible. Judges are put in place to administer justice and there are rules also put in place to define the parameters of the justice meted out. The laws and protocols are there to protect the innocent and they are supposed to ferret out the truth so that impartial justice can be administered. It is unfathomable to think that someone who is given the trust of the citizenry would sit on a bench and systematically deny procedural rights to any defendant or jump to conclusions based merely on the accusations of the conflicting party, especially if that party is trying to gain properties that are not part of their initial complaint. This whole incident reeks of collusion or ignorance. The judge in this case is a Harvard graduate so I would be more inclined to believe the latter. Procedural rights were violated, hearings were sped up, documents altered or created after the fact and ridicule from the bench was handed out in no small measure. The accusers' attorney was given carte blanche to dictate to the judge what he should do and the judge sought that counsel in full view of the court.

Judge Kennedy's arrogance inhibits his ability to treat litigants and their counsel fairly. His bias, not the law, controls the outcome of the cases in his court.
