I would rate Judge van Doorninck's professional performance as sub-standard. She seldom reviews cases and allows the attorneys to brief her in the court room. She fails to consider past behaviors of cases or credible evidence. However, since I typically represent the guardians in these cases, I appreciate her position since it allows our hearings to pass without consideration of the interested parties.

Judge van Doorninck was very unprofessional. She did not do her job well.
Judge did not thoroughly review previous trials and Judges/commissioners rulings.
Judge van Doorninck does not put the best interest of the children first and upmost. She is pro mothers and prejudice towards fathers actively involved in children's lives. Judge needs to see fathers influences in children's lives and the positive impact is has on the children.
Judge van Doorninck should be removed from the bench.

Judge was horrible! She took no history into consideration, when it was laid out perfectly by previous judges. I cannot believe she came from being in the criminal justice system to be a pushover family court judge. I am very disappointed that she is biased to women and would rather protect a horrible parent, rather then the welfare of innocent children.
