A recent case involved a mesothelioma hospice patient, asking for damages, yet was too sick to attend court. Mr. Murphy ruled against the patient and in favor of big business, laughing that with all the attorneys present, it looked like his law school reunion. Mr. Murphy ran unopposed for his position as judge, so there aren’t any public checks and balances with this guy. Be careful with him. It’s the wild Wild West for him - you’ve been warned. He tends to favor big business, ignore the little guy, and lacks basic human emotion.
