Comments:
Judge Hemstreet does not have a good judicial demeanor. She cannot hide her bias. She openly sides with one attorney over the other and issues rulings that go completely against local court rules and Washington law. She seems to side with whichever attorney is more aggressive, rather than the one who has the law on their side.

Rating:2.0
Comments:
Very biased from the beginning. As another commentator noted. She had a bias against our male attorney who was very logical and not particularly aggressive. From the beginning, she gravitated towards the female attorney of the defendant who made outlandish unsubstantiated claims. The judge was harsh towards the plaintiffs, dismissed obvious evidence and contradicted damning evidence that the defendant admitted. She rescheduled the hearing more than once and was obviously annoyed to hear our case.

Comments:
Extremely bias and pre-opinionated based on gender and victimhood narrative over facts and individual responsibilities. Actually lost bearing (openly smirked and shook head) during hearing when council presented evidence the "victim" was making zero effort to improve their own financial circumstances. Based on history of female group involvement, and this hearing, it was overwhelmingly apparent the male counsel was given much less respect and attention as his female counterpart, who was extremely lost and inaccurate on nearly every legal statute pertaining to the case, but either the judge didn't know it either, or just didn't care if it didn't fit the predetermined narrative.

Rating:4.0
Comments:
Takes well beyond a reasonable amount of time to make decisions. Leaves parties hanging without rendering decisions. Penalizes pro se by awarding attorney fees whenever asked for. Allows high conflict to continue & does not address/ attempt to minimize high conflict litigation. Unaware of domestic violence signs. bullying from lawyers is effective.
