If you a man in a family law motion and you have been assigned Judge Benton, please do yourself a favor and try to get a different judge if at all possible. She does not understand the law and seems uninterested in learning it. Her bias is clear. She is also quite rude and condescending, especially to pro se litigants. She should be removed before she ruins more lives.

She is not interested in the facts of the case - refused to bring in an interpreter even though the witness clearly did not understand English. She is extremely condescending and is openly hostile to white litigants.

This judge completing ignore facts and false allegations by plaintiffs. She appears to only want the case in front of her ended as quickly as possible regardless of facts.

Does not know the law. Overturned on appeals after butchering a financial tracing case. Swayed easily and once she makes up her mind I wouldn't bother even showing up, she doesn't. Ill temperament, bitter, rude and dysfunctional...dont be shy to affidavit.

It is a testament to the vagaries of fate that Judge Benton ever got to be a judge. I suppose she is good at some things, but being a judge isn't one of them.

If you are bringing a motion before this judge... be prepared for: her delusions of grandeur; general dysfunction in the courtroom; lengthy waiting periods for rulings on motions; and her ill-prepared manner.
