I was very surprised to read comment numnber WA221 regarding the honorable Michael J. Fox. I believe the clearly biased comments came from a litigant who did not prevail in a court case before him. In fact, when opposing counsel appealed a decision rendered by Judge Fox, the 9th circuit, division one, stated on the record that Judge Fox was one of the finest trial judges King County has ever had and affirmed his ruling. In my particular experience, Judge Fox exercised good courtroom management and set expectations for the litigants, was cordial and compassionate to both parties and despite some rather unusual behavior of opposing counsel, maintained his calm and the courtroom setting. It was a loss to King County Superior Court when Judge Fox retired. He was well respected by the King county bar and his peers.

Its a very good thing this judge retired as he was in the cross-hairs of almost everyone. Could have been a mental breakdown, don't know or care but his behavior on the the bench is and has been erratic at best and revolting at worst. I have been the personal receipiant of his irrational and unmitigated ire on two occasions. When this happens he is uncontrollable and crazy with black robe madness. Had he not retired I was considering requesting immediate judicial sanctions against him. Adios Michael J. Fox.

Good sense of humor. It's a pleasure to try a case in his courtroom.
