Civil Litigation - Private

Rating:1.7
Comments:
This Honorable Judge issued a decision and final order in case no. 10CV16326 granting the department of revenue motion to dismiss because the taxpayers did not send a copy of their petition by certified mail to the DOR. The taxpayers claimed that there were errors in procedure and misinterpretation of the law in this tax assessment case. The appeals court affirmed the circuit court and the Wisconsin Supreme Court refused to review. The taxpayers are now seeking further legal rights within the legal system.

Comments:
Doesn't under legal matters. He doesn't give defendents a chance to defend themselves. Comes off as being rude and doesn't listen to anyone but himself. He maybe to old to sit on the bench. Not friendly to the minority party.

I've always found Judge Moroney to be entirely on point, fair, judicious, and even somewhat humorous in my appearances before him. I can't imagine that someone would allege that he is "biased and hypercritical." Sounds to me like an angry defendant (or defendant supporter) who didn't get his or her way. He is a well-respected member of the legal community.

Comments:
Judge Moroney appears to be very unfair - he is biased and hypercritical and disrespectful towards defendants and their attorneys. Judge Moroney uses a great deal of negative overture and sarcasm and belittlement in court. He appears to have no patience. I think that Judge Moroney should stick to the guidelines of the law to decide cases instead of his emotions.

Judge Moroney's courtroom is a place that no one should be subjected to. He is rude, obnoxious and disrespectful of clients as well as attorneys. He should find another profession.
